PDK Shellfish Limited was established in 1998. Our ethos is to make sure we treat our suppliers and customers with the upmost respect by striving to pay and sell at a competitive price and offer the best service possible.
Quality Produce
We purchase large quantities of live shellfish directly from multiple fishing vessels, predominately from all the Scottish islands and many UK mainland ports. Mainly purchasing brown crab, velvet crab, lobster, prawns, shrimp and winkles.
Once the shellfish is landed, we take several steps to ensure the shellfish is kept at the highest possible quality for its resale at the client’s end markets.
Our shellfish is transported in chilled, aerated water to Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. This is where the shellfish is separated into customer’s orders and loaded into our own specialist built vivier lorries for their onward journey to Europe.
Paul, the managing director started the company just himself and one chilled van, purchasing from one fishing vessel on the Island of Mull and the company has since grown significantly.
